All persons detained by the police forces have been released. Some of them underwent violence, and were kept confined more than 3 hours. “The people were kept there up to 12 hours,” activists-advocate Ara Karagyozyan said in the interview with Iravaban.net.
He said that activist Vaghinak Shushanya, who was know from the incidents of “Electric Yerevan” was detained and kept illegally over 9 hours, after which he was realeased. “He called mw on the phone and said that he wants me to defend his rights.” According to Ara Karagyozyan, Shushanyan came out from the police department beaten and with signs of blood.
Currently, activist Mikael Nazaryan is also detained. He is kept in Ashtarak police department, and has not been released yet. “This is already one day that his advocate is not allowed to meet him,” Ara Karagyozyan said.
