On the evening of May 12th through the morning of the 13th along the north eastern state border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the Azeris continued to use weapons and artillery of different calibers in the direction of the Armenian position-holders.
The RA Armed Forces are continuing to confidentially control the situation along the border and take defensive actions only in the cases where the enemy intentionally violates the cease-fire agreement.
According to operative information from NKR, on the night of May 12 to the morning of May 13, the operative situation on NKR –Azerbaijani line of contact remained unchanged. The enemy violated the verbal cease fire agreement on the line of contact of confronting armies on NKR – Azerbaijani troops mostly with infantry weapons and mortars. They also used 60 and 82 mm mortars and grenade launchers.
The vanguard units of the Defense Army continued with their military duty showed restraint and resort to retaliatory actions only in case of need. Press service of NKR Defense Ministry.
