The RA Minister of Justice Arpine Hovhannisyan, who is on an official visit to the State of Kuwait, met with the Kuwaiti Minister of Justice, Religious Estates and Islamic Affairs Yaqoub Al-Sanea on 1 May.
The RA Minister of Justice expressed her gratitude for the reception and highly appreciating the friendly relations between the two countries mentioned that cooperation in the justice sphere r has an important role in deepening the existing friendly relations between the two countries.
In this context, Arpine Hovhannisyan stressed the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation to be signed between the justice ministries of the two countries , and mentioned that it would give a new impetus to the multilateral relations between the justice ministries of both countries.
The Kuwaiti Minister of Justice, Religious Estates and Islamic Affairs expressed his gratitude for accepting the invitation and noted that the intergovernmental agreement signed earlier this year has initiated the cooperation between the justice ministries of the two countries.
In the end of the meeting, the justice ministers of the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding which is aimed at the cooperation in the spheres of criminal and civil law, the organization of judicial assistance, legal assistance, registration of legal persons and in other areas of mutual interest and cooperation.
Then Arpine Hovhannisyan visited Kuwait institute for judicial and legal studies. On the same day she met with the President of Kuwait Supreme Court. During the meeting they discussed a number of issues of mutual interest. We learned this from the Ministry of Justice.
