At today’s Government session the Draft Law on making Changes and Amendment in the RA Code of Administrative Violations” will be approved.
According to Article 40.1 of the Draft Law conducting a campaign on the day or the day before the voting day will cause a penalty. Particularly:
“Conducting a campaign on the day or the day before the voting leads to imposition of fine at the rate of from three-hundred to five-hundred fold of the minimum salary.
The same actions aimed to influence on voters or referendum participants written or verbal form, with the help of music or animations, collecting signatures inside, at the entrance or around the building of polling station shall lead at imposing a fine at the rate of from four-hundred to six-hundred times of the minimum salary.
The same action conducted by mass media representatives leads to imposition of a fine at the rate of from five-hundred to seven-hundred times of the minimum salary.
