Today, the award ceremony of the Media Contest on Child Health, Nutrition and Child Care related issues was held. The contest aims to encourage a balanced coverage of the issues on child health and nutrition.
Astghik Karapetyan, journalist of Iravaban.net website received an award for the article “Breastfeeding can save the Lives of at least 60 Children Annually in Armenia.”
UNISEF and World Vision Armenia have organized the Contest in the scope of “Improving Infant and Young Child Health and Nutrition” project implemented by United Nations Children’s Fund, on cooperation with the RA Ministry of Healthcare and World Vision Armenia, with financial support of the USAID. The project aims to reduce malnutrition of women and children during 1000 days, starting from pregnancy till the age of 2 years.
