The current Statute of the Traffic Police does not comply with the requirements of the current laws. At the Government session on 5 November. the Chief of the RA Police Vladimir Gasparyan shall introduce the new draft, which is aimed at the improvement of the current situation.
The Statute of the Road Police was approved by the Government decision N 1816-N of 30 November 2006, and currently, after a number of changes and amendments in the RA Code on Administrative Violations, the RA Code on Civil Procedure Code, the RA Code on Administrative Procedure Code, the RA Law on Fundamentals of Administrative Action and Administrative Proceedings, there is a need to incorporate these changes in the Statute of the Road Police.
In addition, during the past eight years of practical application traffic issue related with the types and the names of the traffic police departments have emerged, and this problems need solutions.
The draft foresees harmonization of the Traffic Police Statute with the requirements of the current laws, as well as to solve the problems that emerged in the lawmaking process.
Adoption of the Government decision does not imply significant increase or decrease in the state budget expenditures or revenues.
