Attention! The Traffic Police issued a Statement

The analysis of road accidents have shown that most of the automobile-pedestrian accidents are due to failure to maintain the specified standards of transparency of the front windshield and in particular tinting the windshield, which is especially dangerous in the dark hours and even during the rain (even in case of weak tinting).

The Traffic Police urges the drivers to adjust the transparency of their vehicles’ glasses to the requirements set in point 16 of the Decision N289-N of the RA Government of 24 February 2005 on “Approving Technical Regulations for the use of safe Glasses in the Surface Transport.” Remove the films from the windshield and front door glasses, otherwise the traffic police will have to apply sanctions provided for by law.

Pursuant to Article 123, Part 4 of the RA Code on Administrative Violations, driving a vehicle with violation of the requirements for transparency of the vehicle glasses or driving a vehicle with curtained windows givs rise to imposition of a penalty of fifty fold of the minimum salary (50.000 AMD).
