An indictment under the provision of Article 144 of the RA Criminal Code was filed on the fact of illegal collecting, keeping, use and dissemination of information pertaining to personal or family life of advocate Nikolay Bagdasaryan.
Nikolay Bagdasaryan appealed challenging the prosecutor’s decision to cease the criminal proceedings.
Today, the Court of First Instance of Shengavit Community of Yerevan dismissed the lawyer’s appeal.
After the court session, NikolayBagdasaryan made a statement saying that the courts have ruled different decisions on similar cases.
With regard on filing a complaint to the Court of Appeals, Nikolay Baghdasaryan said that it wou;d be worth to do this in Armenia with a purpose to show that the law in Armenia dies not have the same application.
At the end, Nikolay Baghdasaryan’s advocate Lusine Sahakyan made a statement saying that if the harassment against Nikolay Baghdasaryan will continue, it would be a serious threat for the advocates in general and they all should fight to stop this persecution.
