Today, a discussion commenced in the National Assembly on the approval of the referendum on the constitutional amendments initiated by the President of the RA.
Vardan Poghosyan, member of the Experts Committee on Constitutional Reforms adjacent to the RA President was the main reporter.
While presenting the draft, he noted that it was not designed to completely reconsider the solutions and logic of the current constitution. “The Draft Constitution was elaborated during 5 months and presented to the public at every stage of the process. A great number of suggestions were introduced during the interesting discussions,” Vardan Poghosyan said.
He presented the 2nd chapter of the amendments draft that is related to the fundamental human and civil rights and freedoms. He also touched upon presidency and spoke about parliamentary form of government.
