Just at this moment the salesmen who are against the new Law on Turnover Tax have organized a protest action in front of the National Assembly. Shortly before the MPs from the Political Party “Prosperous Armenia” Faction Michael Melkumyan, Vahe Enfiajyan and Tigran Urikhanyan, and Aram Manukyan from “Armenian National Congress” Faction came out to meet them and informed that currently they work on a new draft law, which will develop alternative mechanisms for those who are against the document workflow system and will work in the framework of the former tax.
Currently the action is going on. The number of the salesmen in front of the main entrance of the NA is over 200. The demonstrators demand to call especial session. Volodya Muradyan,. One of the salesmen said that he has been a trader for 20 years, “I buy goods from different people and bring to sell. I have a lot of small products, am I an accountant to do accounting? Currently I have to allocate more funds for the accountant than formerly,” Mr. Muradyan noted.”
Traders from different markets of the capital city had come here, but most of them avoided to speak with the journalists saying that they were afraid.
