10 Years in Prison and Exaction of 200 Million AMD: the Defendants’’ Lawyer appeals the Verdict

The verdict of the only defendant in the case of “Financial Pyramid” will be appealed in the Criminal Court of Appeal. Iravaban.net learned this from DataLex Judiciary Portal.

Mnatsakan Sargsyan, the defendant’s lawyer has filed an appeal. He requests to annul the verdict of the Court of the First Instance of Kentron and Nork-Marash Administrative Districts of Yerevan, which the court ruled against Arthur Mnatsakanyan, and declare him not guilty. The date of the court hearing and the composition of the jury is not set yet. The complaint was submitted on 9 September.

Notably, the Court of the First Instance (Presiding Judge Gagik Poghosyan) sentenced him to 10 years in prison and confiscation of property of 200.000.000 AMD.
