Shortly before the President’s Office has issued a Press Release which informs that today the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan has received the delegation of Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation led by the RF Minister of Transport Maksim Sokolov.
During the meeting the parties discussed a number of issues, among which the prices of the Russian gas delivered to Armenia, signing the agreement on providing a 200 million USD preferential loan to Armenia and others.
The RA President has also mentioned the expediency of consideration of the opportunity to conduct a thorough audit of the activities of the Electric Networks of Armenia, the Daughter Enterprise of “INER RAO UES” with participation of the representatives of experts’ community and the civil society organizations.
During the meeting which took place after the meeting of Intergovernmental Commission with participation of the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Economy and the Head of by the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia, the parties discussed all issues connected with the activities of the Company. With regard of the recommendation fo the RA President Maksim Sokolov mentioned that the audit of the company will be carried out under the auspiece of the intergovernmental Commission with the involvement of experts, all interested parties and all this will be conducted unbiased and transparently, so that the results of the audit to be clear and unambiguous.
