The protest action against the rise of electricity price started a few minutes before in the “Liberty” square. The citizens after a three-day sit-in action shall march to the presidential residence.
Maksim Sargsyan, member of “No to Plunder!” Civil Initiative stated that the authorities failed to response to them and thus they have to continue the action and to start the protest march. He cited the legal norms that prohibit hindering the peaceful protest marches. He stressed several times that their action is peaceful and urged the police to support the citizens this time at least. He also urged the participants of the protest action not to succumb to provocations.
Maksim Sargsyan also said the rout: through Tumanyan street to Mashtots avenue and then upwards through Baghramyan avenue to 26 Baghramyan address.
