“We Were Almost Massacred”: Forcibly Displaced

Pasha Arstamyan was forcibly displaced on September 19, 2023, as a result of Azerbaijan’s unleashed aggression.

They barely escaped: “We were almost massacred. They pulled out an automatic weapon, but someone pushed it away with their hand and said ‘don’t,'” he told Iravaban.net within the series “Legal Issues of Artsakh Armenians in Armenia.”

They left Martakert on September 19, stayed in Stepanakert for a few days, after which they came to Tsaghkadzor community. They came by buses, were checked at the illegal checkpoint installed near the Hakari bridge and then let through.

He and his wife live in a rented apartment. His wife has health issues. He says they have received state support without any problems. He only didn’t receive his pension for September 2023.
