On 12 October, around 10:50 p.m., a life convict serving a sentence in the “Armavir” penitentiary made a suicide attempt using an antenna cable. Nona Navikyan, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Penitentiary Service, informs Iravaban.net.
“According to the convict, the reason was health problems.
The convict was transferred to the “Convicts’ Hospital” Penitentiary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, passed all the necessary examinations and was returned to the “Armavir” penitentiary,” she said.
