EU announced that Baku did not allow international observers to enter Nagorno-Karabakh

Peter Stano, the official representative of the European Union’s foreign policy service, said that Azerbaijan has not yet granted access to independent international observers to observe the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. 1lurer (First Channel News) reports .

“We call on Azerbaijan to provide international access to Nagorno-Karabakh to provide the necessary assistance, as well as independent monitoring of what is happening there, in particular, how the population is treated… So far, such access has not been provided,” Stano said at the Brussels briefing.

According to him, the EU is also in favor of applying a general amnesty for the forces of Nagorno-Karabakh, which agreed to a ceasefire.

“Now it is important for the EU, both for the institutions and for the member states, to ensure humanitarian access to those who need it in Nagorno-Karabakh… The European Commission has already allocated aid, the EU countries are ready to do it individually,” Stano said.
