Andranik Tevanyan, Deputy of the “Armenia” Faction, wrote on his Facebook page:

“Dear friends,

I am putting down the mandate of the RA NA deputy to participate in the elections of the Yerevan Council of Elders, leading the “Mother Armenia” Alliance.

Renunciation the mandate is not a requirement of the legislation, but a result of a political decision. I do not want to secure myself with a parliamentary mandate; I do not leave myself a way back, because I expect the voter to show his/her determination.”
