According to widespread information, the criminal investigation officer of the Mush department in Gyumri attacked the human rights activist Karapet Poghosyan in the store. In connection with the incident, a discussion procedure was started on the initiative of Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan.

Corresponding letters will be addressed to the RA Prosecutor General’s Office and the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the request to make the circumstances of the case the subject of a detailed and comprehensive investigation.
The Human Rights Defender emphasizes once again: any manifestation of violence is highly unacceptable and condemnable. Registering that circumstance is of key importance for every representative of a law enforcement agency.
