A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures and the National Polytechnic University of Armenia.

The RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan and the Rector of NPUA Gor Vardanyan signed the Memorandum.

The Memorandum was signed, emphasizing the need for preparation and training of high-quality specialists in the field of territorial administration for the development of Armenia’s economy.

In his speech, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan highlighted the importance of cooperation between the government and universities in the context of training targeted, qualified personnel. “One of the most important problems in the development of the country’s economy is to meet the requirement for replenishment of various sectors with qualified personnel in accordance with modern requirements.

In this sense, the most effective and purposeful process in the whole world is the creation of effective mechanisms of cooperation and feedback between the “sector client” and the university,” the Minister emphasized.

As a result of cooperation with the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, an educational program “Territorial Management”, will introduced in the National Polytechnic University of Armenia the entire curriculum of which, according to Gor Vardanyan, the Rector of National Polytechnic University of Armenia, will differ from the educational content of the specialty of territorial management which is known to the educational community.

“The end result of this educational program will be a specialist who, with the result of his work in various areas of our public administration, will essentially show what a specialist can do if he has the precise knowledge and competencies. As a result of this state-university cooperation, we will try to create a new value,” the Rector said.
