On 19 February, around 7:40 p.m., near the village of Khnatsakh, as a result of avalanche, the “Uaz” car of the Ministry of Defense brand rolled into a ravine, as a result of which contract servicemen Zorand Hrant Arzumanyan and Zorak Samvel Yeranosyan died.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia reported.

2 servicemen were taken to the garrison hospital with various injuries. The condition of the injured servicemen is assessed as satisfactory, life is not in danger.

The crew of the vehicle, trying to help the other servicemen of the unit in extremely bad weather conditions, showed selflessness to accomplish the task.

Unfortunately, as a result of an accident, the aforementioned servicemen died.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia shares the heavy sorrow of the loss and expresses support to the family members, relatives and fellow soldiers of the servicemen who died as a result of the accident.
