At the beginning of the Government Session, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan referred to the terrorist attack of 27 October, 1999.

As a result of the terrorist group’s actions, NA Speaker Karen Demirchyan, Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan and 6 other state officials and NA deputies were killed, 8 people were injured, and 91 were captured.

“Terrorist act was an attack against the Republic of Armenia, its sovereignty and independence, the government elected by the people,” Pashinyan said and asked to observe a minute of silence in memory of the victims.
