Zelensky presents initiation of de-occupation of Abkhazia: Aliq.ge

Speaking before the first parliamentary summit of the Crimean Platform, the format of international consultations and coordination initiated by Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky presented a new initiative.

Aliq.ge reported.

Zelensky suggested to the international community that the “Crimea Platform” should become a starting point for other humanitarian and diplomatic platforms that would contribute to the de-occupation of other regions previously occupied by Russia, from Transnistria and Abkhazia to the northern territories.

Inal Ardzinba, the de facto foreign minister of Abkhazia, which is not controlled by Georgia, answered Zelensky.

“The President of Ukraine continues to show his poor knowledge of history and is exposed to open provocations,” Ardzinba said.

Ardzinba noted that the “citizens” of Abkhazia made their historical choice and defended their right to build an “independent state” with arms in hand.

According to Ardzinba, any format aimed at changing the political status of the “Republic of Abkhazia” is completely unperspective.
