On 6 September, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan spread another disinformation, claiming that on 5 September, the units of the RA Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of the Azerbaijani positions located in the eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border zone.

“This way of working, based on the dissemination of completely false information about the Armenian side’s attempts to carry out aggressive actions and artificially escalate the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, cannot in any way contribute to the real stabilization of the border situation.

The units of the RA Armed Forces did not open fire in the direction of the Azerbaijani positions. Moreover, as we have already informed, junior sergeant Arman Gagik Sargsyan, a conscript soldier, received a fatal gunshot wound yesterday from the shot fired by the Azerbaijani side,” the Ministry of Defense said.
