The Minister of Justice has submitted a motion to the SJC to subject Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan to disciplinary action

The Minister of Justice submitted a motion to the Supreme Judicial Council regarding the disciplinary action against Mnatsakan Martirosyan, judge of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan.

It is noted that the reason for initiating disciplinary proceedings was the judgment of the European Court of Human Rights of 18 May, 2022 in the case of Vardan Jhangiryan v. Republic of Armenia.

Studying the verdict, the Minister of Justice initiated disciplinary proceedings against Mnatsakan Martirosyan, the judge of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of the city of Yerevan, by decision No. 51-A of 30 May, 2022.

The Supreme Judicial Council has decided to schedule the session of the SJC for 25 August at 15:15 in connection with the examination of the petition regarding the disciplinary action of Mnatsakan Martirosyan, judge of First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan city.
