The night search operations have been stopped: MES

The Press Spokesman of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Hayk Kostanyan, told reporters that since 14 August, 935 rescuers participated in the search and rescue and firefighting operations.

“201 people participated from representatives of the Red Cross, 132 volunteers from “VOMA” organization, 250 individuals and people from other organizations participated. Our rescuers took out 26 citizens from the rubble, and saved the lives of 10 people,” he said.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the search operations have been stopped because the area where the explosion occurred is dangerous, as there is a possibility of collapse.

“It was decided to stop the search operations at night. We will have duty. Search operations will resume at dawn,” Hayk Kostanyan said.

He said that the work of the rescuers will end when they find those considered missing.
