The Prosecutor’s Office of Shirak marz initiated a criminal case for abuse of authority by the director of the kindergarten, which resulted appropriation of large amount of money.
The prepared materials revealed that the director of the kindergarten did not direct the funds transferred from Gyumri Municipality in June and July 2013, as well as the funds generated from the collection of fees, the total sum of 1.501.096 AMD, for paying the wages, as well as to cover the costs of the companies that provided food to the kindergarten and the fees for communal services.
Being a materially responsible person, the director of the kindergarten used his official position to appropriate the mentioned above funds.
According to the information of the prosecution office a criminal case under Points 1 and 2 of Clause 2 of Article 179 of the RA Criminal Code has been initiated. The pre-inquiry of the criminal case was assigned to the Investigation Department of Shirak marz of the RA police under the RA Government.
Note. Everyone charged with a criminal offense shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty by the court verdict lawfully entered into force as prescribed by Criminal Procedure Code.
