Metro train drivers have started a strike. The stations are closed, citizens cannot use the metro.

In a conversation with Iravaban.net, Tatev Khachatryan, spokesperson of Yerevan Metro named after Karen Demirchyan, provided details.

“The doors of all the stations of the Yerevan metro named after Karen Demirchyan are closed. The drivers of the metro went on strike from 06:00 in the morning, demanding a salary increase. At the moment, the metro administration is negotiating with the drivers, expecting that they will return to normal performance of their work duties as soon as possible.

We apologize to the passengers for the inconvenience caused.”
