“The RA Draft Law on Making Amendments and Supplements to the Labor Code” proposes to reduce working hours from 8 to 7 hours daily and from 40 to 35 hours weekly while maintaining current salaries.

This draft was presented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

Deputy Minister Ruben Sargsyan noted that next month discussions will be held with employers, workers’ rights advocates and other stakeholders to understand their approaches regarding the topic.
