A number of streets in Yerevan are closed. The opposition is holding protest actions, closing the roads. National Assembly deputy Aregnaz Manukyan is at the Vazgen Sargsyan-Khorenatsi crossroads, from where several citizens were detained by the police.

“The citizen was knocked down on the ground. All is done brutally…. His coat in my hand,” she said.

It should be reminded that the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, member of the “Armenia” faction Ishkhan Saghatelyan announced yesterday, on 1 May, at the rally held in France Square: “Tomorrow many streets and highways of the republic will be closed, but who will do it? All of us. Tomorrow, especially in Kentron community, there should be no car traffic. I call on our compatriots and students to start a strike from tomorrow,” he said.

Ishkhan Saghatelyan apologized to all the citizens for the inconveniences to be caused in the coming days.
