The Ministry of Health clarifies whether the COVID-19 vaccine is a contraindication to blood donation.
“Temporary contraindications that exclude blood donation include vaccinations, when a person can become a donor after some time.
It should be noted that vaccines against COVID-19 are inactivated (killed), viral vector, genetic (RNA), protein vaccines. Vaccines of this group are not a permanent contraindication to blood donation,” the statement said.
