Ankara has applied to Armenia with a “call”

Ankara calls on Armenia to refrain from aggressive rhetoric and actions, to remain committed to its commitments and to develop cooperation with the countries of the region.

This is stated in a statement following a meeting of the Turkish National Security Council, which was held in the Turkish capital under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The Anadolu reports

“Armenia should use the opportunity presented to establish peace and stability, which has appeared in the South Caucasus for the first time in a long time,” the Turkish Security Council stressed.

The meeting participants also discussed the fight against wildfires that have engulfed the southwestern regions of Turkey, the related disinformation campaigns and additional measures to counter the natural disaster.

Members of the Turkish Security Council strongly condemned the countries supporting the PKK / KCK-PYD / YPG terrorist organization and encouraging it to commit terrorist acts against peace and stability in the region.

It should be noted that since the start of large-scale hostilities in Nagorno Karabakh throughout the Second Artsakh War, official Ankara has repeatedly made statements in support of Azerbaijan. Armenia, in turn, points out that Azerbaijan has received large-scale military-political support from Turkey throughout the 44-day war.
