The President of the Republic Armen Sarkissian made a speech during the first sitting of the National Assembly of the 8th convocation.
In his speech, the President noted that the three forces that passed to the parliament were given an opportunity to develop and implement real strategic programs aimed at the future.
“The future must be built around the vision of a strong, balanced and progressive state. The future is not the interests of anyone or any party separeately. We are the future as a whole, united by a common historical memory, with a debt to our children and ancestors,” he said.
Sarkissian noted that attempts to present the desired as a reality, demagoguery and populism are a way to a deadlock.
