An official left The first-class “Medal of Services to the Motherland” at the tombstone of Albert in Yerablur

A day before, in the Yerablur Pantheon, a state official with a printed inscription (attached to the picture) left The first-class Medal of Services to the Motherland awarded to him at Albert Hovhannisyan’s tombstone, considering it right to dedicate it to all his immortal brothers.

Albert’s father Artak Hovhannisyan wrote about this on his Facebook page,

“A day before, in the Yerablur Pantheon, a state official with a printed inscription (attached to the picture) left The first-class Medal of Services to the Motherland awarded to him on my son’s tombstone, considering it right to dedicate it to all his immortal brothers. It is true that we all realize that no matter what we do in the rear, the severity of the war was on the shoulders of the boys on the front lines. To day we live at the cost of their lives and the burden of living becomes heavier when soldiers are immortalized again at the border. But in this pervasive darkness, the step of this person to be honest with his conscience and at the same time to appreciate what the guys did in this way, again appreciated the heroism of our Heroes, because they live as long as we remember and appreciate.

Thank you, not for bowing to the Armenians who gave their lives for the homeland, because it is the duty of each of us, but for emphasizing with this step that among the civil servants there are reasonable people like you guided by heart and conscience and most importantly, you ignited our hope of regaining national dignity, waking up one day from sleep,” the post reads.

Notably, Albert Hovhannisyan’s photo was spread all over the world during the days of the 44-day war, appearing not only on the front pages of the Armenian outlets, but also in the main news of the world’s most authoritative news outlets.
