On May 13, during the meeting of the Permanent Council of the CSTO, the Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the CSTO Viktor Biyagov presented in detail the provocative actions provoked by the Azerbaijani side in the territory of the Syunik region of the Republic of Armenia and the situation created as a result of them in order to convey information about the situation to the capitals of the CSTO member states. The RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.

RA Permanent Representative Biyagov noted that the provocation carried out by Azerbaijan is a direct encroachment on the sovereign territory of Armenia and a serious threat to regional security and stability.

He also stressed that if the withdrawal of the units of the armed forces of Azerbaijan from the territory of the Republic of Armenia in the shortest and reasonable time is not carried out, the Azerbaijani side will bear all responsibility for further escalation.
