Pursuant to the Labor Code of the Republic of Armenia, job seekers are capable individuals that reached the age of 16 years, who despite the fact of their employment have applied to the “State Employment Service Agency.”
Unemployed persons are individuals of non-pension age who are seeking job and other persons without occupation that are registered at the State Employment Service Agency to find a job and have been provided a status of unemployed.
The status of unemployed is provided in the term of 7 (seven) calendar days after the applicant submits all the necessary documents provided by the Government of the RA.
