The head of Geghamasar community Hakob Avetyan confirmed the information in a conversation with Iravaban.net that the Azerbaijani military had crossed the gates of Karvachar and approached the Sotk gold mine.

“Azerbaijani troops have approached Sotk, but the situation is peaceful. Negotiations are going on, I do not know about what, how it will end. But it is true that they came. The Azeris passed through the gates of Karvachar and reached the territory of the Sotk gold mine,” Avetyan says.

According to the head of the community, due to security, the mine workers left the area․ ” Only the soldiers are left to understand what will happen. The workers did not run away, but left the area. It is clear that they should not be present at that moment.”

According to Avetyan, it is possible that the issues related to the border are being settled.

It should be noted that Sotk is the center of Geghamasar community.
