“Artsakh is under attack” held in Los Angeles: more than 150 thousand demonstrators took part in the march with the slogan “Peace March”. The march went through all the main avenues, reaching the Turkish Consulate.

“When we reached the last stop, where we crossed the Los Angeles border to Beverly Hills, they already understood that this is a big march. An unprecedented march in the history of Los Angeles,” Vigen Hovsepyan, a member of the Pan-Armenian Council of Western America said.

The demonstration of thousands was organized in 6 days. According to Vigen Hovsepyan, the main goals of the demonstration were three. “The first was addressed to the international community in order to make the voice of the Armenians heard, let’s say what is happening in Armenia and Artsakh. The second goal was to bring our protest voice to the political circles internationally. ”

Hundreds of thousands of Armenians during the march demanded immediate pressure on Azerbaijan and Turkey to make peace, and steps to be taken to recognize independent Artsakh.

“The other goal was aimed at our boys fighting at the border, our brave army, why not our native people, to say that today the Diaspora is the second army of the Armenians, it is in the trenches with them shoulder to shoulder, and we are ready to do our part. We have done everything, from donations to such marches, protest marches,” Vigen Hovsepyan said.

According to Hovsepyan, fundraising was carried out during the march, more than 100 thousand dollars were collected. “It was not a coincidence that we called this march a victory march, because we are sure that the victory will be ours. We must make our contribution to this common struggle, this struggle is the struggle of the common nation, and the American-Armenians are an integral part of it.”
