Artsakh expects the support of the civilized world, not only through coverage, calls, announcements, but also substantively.

Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan said this today, on 11 October, during a press conference.

“International terrorism is penetrating the region under the guise of Azerbaijan’s policy against the Artsakh liberation struggle. There are many facts – this has been confirmed or covered by the Russian, Minsk Group, American, and French, authorities or structures of different sizes. And they do it openly,” said the President of Artsakh.

He presented what weapons Azerbaijan uses against the Armenian armed forces and the peaceful population.

“Universal values ​​are being violated in Artsakh, the process of extermination of the civilian population is underway; after all this, they expect inappropriate attitude from Artsakh, that is, to agree with the demands imposed or formulated by them. It will not happen. I want to announce that it will not happen. Artsakh is exercising its right to self-defense; we will exercise it within the framework of our right to self-defense with the direct participation of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenians. Artsakh will not be part of Azerbaijan,” Arayik Harutyunyan stated.

If Azerbaijan’s readiness to resolve the issue peacefully is not felt in the next 1-2 days, Artsakh will apply to the Armenian authorities to recognize Artsakh’s independence, international structures and all countries of the world.

He also thanked the Russian authorities and President Vladimir Putin for undertaking the mission of establishing a humanitarian ceasefire. “In this context, I consider it important in terms of the Minsk Group co-chairing, which remains the only internationally recognized framework for negotiations and the peace process.”

Arayik Harutyunyan also spoke about the reaction of different countries. “When we apply to international organizations for the recognition of Artsakh, we will see the list of countries that respect human rights, international law, and the world will see the list of countries that support terrorism. The states that support Azerbaijan support international terrorism. They must be listed, the people of those countries must also realize the behavior of their authorities, all those authorities must be accountable to humanity and God,” the President of Artsakh said.

According to him, it is already secondary for Azerbaijan whether there will be negotiations or not, if it does not respect the format that has been realized and the international statements, we already have something to do.

“First of all, Armenia must recognize the independence of Artsakh, to apply to the international community and all countries to recognize Artsakh, to go, to struggle, and to fight to the end. People, we are for peace. The people of Artsakh want peace the most in the world, but we cannot accept an obligatory condition from a country whose goal is to destroy the people of Artsakh, the millennial culture of Artsakh, the history of Artsakh in general. I will declare a patriotic war, I will call on all Armenians, not only materially, but why not physically, if, of course, they have that mood, the desire to participate. “Do they want a long war? They have chosen that way, we will not give up if that war is forced,” Arayik Harutyunyan said.

The President also spoke about the failed attempt of the enemy to capture Hadrut hours before the humanitarian ceasefire.
