Artak Hovhannisyan, the father of Albert Hovhannisyan, who died during the repulse of the Azerbaijani aggression, writes on his Facebook page:

“Dear compatriots,

My son Albert Hovhannisyan, whose photo has been spread widely all over the world these days, became dear to many of you, and became immortal. The pain of me and my family is immeasurable and bottomless.

For days we had no information about him, but many of you were with our family in your presence, in your words, in your prayers, but something else was predetermined.

From the tears that choke my throat, I want to ask that in all of your memories Albert remain forever young, infinitely optimistic, extremely patriotic, who had big dreams and a lot to do, whose greatest love was the Homeland.

My grief is heavy and great, but I am even more proud to be the father of a patriotic Armenian, a real Hero of today. I realize that my Albert is not only my Hero, he is the Hero of all of us, he is the example of the Hero Armenian of present and future generations, who took the path of his heroic ancestors and was immortalized…
