At the moment we have 11 civilian victims and more 60 wounded, 42 of them with serious injuries. This was announced by Artsakh ombudsman Artak Beglaryan.

He noted that the youngest of the injured is a 2-year-old boy, whose 9-year-old sister died, and his mother was wounded as a result of the aggression of Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani Armed Forces are still deliberately targeting civilian objects.

“Azerbaijan violates the right to life of the population of Artsakh. The corpses of our servicemen under the control of their Armed Forces are in danger, the atrocities of the last days are deeply rooted in the policy of state hatred agains Armenians. Azerbaijan intensively uses prohibited weapons, prohibited methods of warfare. We already have certain facts with the help of various official sources of the Republic of Armenia and the international media that Syrian mercenaries are fighting against us in Azerbaijan. According to this, there is a danger of a humanitarian crisis in the region,” Beglaryan said.

According to him, Azerbaijan widely uses the methodology of intimidation prohibited by international humanitarian law.

“It should be noted that no argument, no justification by international organizations for not coming to Artsakh is acceptable to me, as they are all exclusively of a political nature.

And all state that human rights are universal. But when the issue reaches unrecognized states, they start bringing political arguments. I am only concerned about the protection of human rights, that the inhabitants of unrecognized states are being discriminated much more by the international community as well as in the context of the conflict,” he said.
