The Armenian Embassy in Germany informs:
“Federal government spokesman Steffen Seibert reports:
“Yesterday, Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel had a telephone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The escalation of the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia was discussed during the telephone conversations. The Federal Chancellor stressed the urgent need to establish a ceasefire and return to the negotiating table. The OSCE Minsk Group is a tried and tested platform for resolving this issue. Neighboring states must contribute to a peaceful settlement.”
It should be reminded that RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called on Angela Merkel to make every effort to curb Turkey’s destructive stance.
