Today is the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence of Armenia.
30 years ago, on 23 August, 1990, in unprecedentedly difficult external and internal conditions, the first session of the Supreme Soviet of the Armenian SSR adopted the Declaration of Independence of Armenia.
It was a fundamental legal document on the way to independence, outlining the ways of Armenia’s political, economic and cultural development.
The Declaration of Independence is a valuable example of Armenian historical and political thought, which became a symbol of the restoration of statehood, the unchangeable basis of all our constitutions.
Long live independent Armenia!
Long live our people!
