As of 11.30 on 7 August, 38 residents of Shirak region are being treated with coronavirus at Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital.

Shirak regional administration reported.

Since 1 March, 8050 samples have been taken in the regional center of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Shirak region, 6696 samples were taken in Gyumri from 12 May to 6 August, and 9 new cases of coronavirus disease were confirmed on 6 August.

At present, 543 citizens in the region have instructions for home self-isolation, 120 of them have a positive diagnosis with an asymptomatic course of the disease, and the control is carried out by the primary health care unit.

To date 48 patients recovered from coronavirus, 481 residents of Shirak region have been discharged from Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital.

53 patients were taken to the capital. 36 deaths were reported.
