The National Assembly has convened a special sitting. There is one issue on the agenda – the draft law “On Making Amendments and Addenda to the Code on Administrative Offenses.”
It is envisaged to supplement Part 10 of Article 182.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of 6 December, 1985 with a new part, according to which the violation of the conditions of free movement during the state of emergency and violation of requirements will result in a fine of 10 thousand AMD.
The justification of the draft states that the increase in the spread of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Republic of Armenia and the increase in the number of infected people makes it necessary to carry out appropriate preventive work and continuous measures, the implementation of which will not be possible without a certain restriction on the fundamental rights and freedoms of the citizen.
