Spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health Alina Nikoghosyan informs:

“A case of death was registered in “Surb Grigor Lusavorich” Medical Center. The 58-year-old patient had coronavirus disease, confirmed bilateral subtotal pneumonia. The man also had chronic diseases accompanying it: ischemic heart disease, hypertension of III degree, obesity of II-III degree. Acute myocardial infarction with ST elevation was diagnosed during treatment.

Coronary artery stenting was performed on 8 April, after which the patient developed distress syndrome, acute respiratory failure of grade III, sepsis, and septic shock. Prolonged pulmonary insufficiency developed after prolonged pulmonary artificial respiration.

As of 16 April, we have 42 new cases of coronavirus disease, 44 recovered. ”

It should be added that there are 19 cases of death of coronavirus disease in the country.
