Due to the coronavirus, all foreign citizens are allowed to enter Artsakh, with the exception of the exceptional cases envisaged by the Artsakh authorities, MFA informed.
Visits of delegations from countries, individuals to Artsakh, as well as issuance of visas to foreign nationals are also restricted. Citizens of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh are urged to refrain from organizing a foreign trip.
Citizens of the Republic of Artsakh abroad are advised to contact the Consular Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh and/or the diplomatic representations of the Republic of Armenia operating in the respective countries, and before returning to their homeland, check the availability of flights arriving in transit through the country.
It is noted that the citizens returning from the countries with a wide spread of coronavirus are subject to the applicable procedure for RA citizens (14-day mandatory self-isolation unless a decision is made to locate them in a special quarantine area). A 14-day mandatory quarantine regime will apply for RA citizens returning from Italy.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh were also reminded about the restrictions on flights between Armenia and Russia, restrictions on communication between Armenia and Georgia, Armenia and Iran.
It is noteworthy that from 16 March to 14 April there is a state of emergency in Armenia to prevent the spread of coronavirus. As of 20 March, there are 136 confirmed cases of infection in the country, with one recovering. Of the 136 cases confirmed, 112 are correlated with the two first cases. There are no cases of coronavirus in Artsakh.
