Armenia will apply to international financial organizations for assistance in overcoming the economic consequences of the coronavirus.

Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan stated.

“We are already in talks with these organizations. International organizations are changing their approach to supporting governments, and there is a dialogue to make the support more targeted,” he said.

The minister acknowledged that the economic situation in Russia, particularly with regard to oil prices, will also affect Armenia, especially in the matter of export, but expressed hope that Russia will be able to overcome the problems quickly.
