The Armenian Embassy in China informs that China rates the risks of invading foreign viruses highly, and the Beijing authorities are taking some tough measures.

Thus, on 15 March, Chen Bei, deputy secretary-general of the Beijing Municipal Government announced that all foreigners arriving in Beijing from 16 March at 00:00 (all flights will arrive only at Beijing International Airport) after the appropriate preliminary inspection, will be taken to a special docking area (Expo Center) for 14 days quarantine. It will be carried out at government-approved locations in hotels at the expense of passengers.

Passengers arriving in Beijing on transit on the same day are waiting at the airport’s special location, then escorted to their next flight terminal. In case of departure the next day they are accommodated in a hotel designated by the state at their own expense, and taken to the terminal for the next flight.

Beijing authorities warn everyone that responsibility for providing false information on health, as well as travel information before arriving in Beijing, is to be punished, including criminally.

Passengers arriving in transit to Beijing and then traveling to other provinces should adhere the quarantine order in that state or city.

There are no changes in Shanghai and Guangzhou in terms of restrictions. All arriving passengers must undergo a 14-day self-isolation after appropriate medical examination, which may be carried out by place of residence (unless the condominium decides otherwise). All medical expenses are borne by citizens, for which the medical insurance in China may also be used.
