Mayor of Echmiadzin Diana Gasparyan has issued a statement saying:

“Dear fellow citizens,

Given the increase in confirmed cases of the new coronavirus and their epidemiological link with Echmiadzin, I urge you to refrain from using the services of private taxi cars operating in the direction Echmiadzin-Yerevan (and vice versa).

In general, please stay at home, get out of town in case of extreme need and by your own. If this is not possible by public transport as it is regularly disinfected.

Once again, I urge you not to use taxis whose disinfection is unknown or highly suspicious and where strangers are sitting next to you.”
