Health Minister Arsen Torosyan announced live that two more cases of coronavirus have been confirmed.

According to him, the cases are from a person who has been in contact with a person infected with the coronavirus in Echmiadzin.

“Those who had been isolated after having been complained of being taken to an infectious hospital and two of them had a positive coronavirus. Now they feel good. Their families are also isolated and it is now clear whether we need to isolate other people now or not,” the minister said.

Arsen Torosyan notes that it is really good that they are all from the same circle, not independent cases.

Out of 31 citizens isolated on March 1, new tests have been taken today, and if they are negative, citizens will be sent home. The answers will be in the evening.

The minister said that decisions are made according to the situation and if necessary new decisions will be made.

“Without social responsibility we cannot cope with the virus. When we are in a risk group or come from a risk country we do not hide, instead we inform the relevant authorities, the Ministry of Health, the district polyclinic or the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, about the symptoms and our hotlines are working intensively, receiving calls and sending them medical facilities for patients to be examined,” he said.

Arsen Torosyan urged to reduce communication with other people as soon as possible; the same applies to participation in various public events and so on. Weddings, baptismal ceremonies, and similar events would also be good for postponement or close-ups, frequent ventilation, and so on.

The minister urged the elderly and those with chronic illnesses.

“I ask them to limit contact as much as possible, or stay home, or reduce contact with other people because they are the most vulnerable and generally susceptible to viruses, influenza and coronavirus. We should all have a responsibility to protect our vulnerable citizens,” Arsen Torosyan said.
